We are so glad you are here with us at 100creatives, a space where we can all show up to explore together the intersection of creativity and how it relates to our individual selves and also to community impact. 

100creatives represents a collective of individuals - across creative and educational sectors - that seek to learn from one another and share insights, ideas, and start conversation. We gather together at our virtual round table to explore the intersection of creativity and how it relates to our individual selves and also to community impact. 

Each episode is hosted by Angela Popplewell, the CEO of 100cameras, and will host a group of voices - from members of our 100cameras Board of Creatives, to Program Educators, to youth participants from programs across the world, to even special guest appearances from our brand partners and friends -- all who share in the commitment that creativity and self-expression should be available to all.

WHAT INSPIRED THE INTENTION OF 100CREATIVES

The 100creatives podcast is born from the Board of Creatives, an advisory board for 100cameras that seeks to equip youth to process and tell their stories through photography in a way that impacts how they view themselves and their role in their community. The Board of Creatives helps advise and partners alongside the organization for both authentic decisions around creativity and how to uplift and amplify the visual stories of youth worldwide. 100creatives stems from organic discussions we had as a group regularly during the pandemic and has since grown into a conversation around a virtual round table, where we gather and explore.

We are thrilled you are here! Whether you identify professionally as a creative or not, we believe you have a seat here. Maybe you are a seasoned creative or maybe this is new for you. Or maybe you don’t identify as a creative by profession. The insights here apply across sectors and speak to the creativity we all have within ourselves - no matter how large or small our creativity plays out into who we are in everyday life.

A NOTE FROM THE CORE OF IT ALL

It’s also a logistical note - in the spirit and commitment of being as inclusive as possible AND in believing we want to create a space where as many voices and leadership initiatives across the world are uplifted through the 100creatives platform, we made a decision early on to navigate the complexities of wifi, audio, and technology. Because not everyone who has the most important things to say in our world always has access to a sound booth, recording studio, or even a quiet background.

And we not only think this is okay, this is something we want to celebrate and create a space that focuses on excellence in thought and ideas and not focus only on creative perfection. You may imagine this could be difficult for a room full of professional creative minded people, but alas, we did it! So we invite you to join alongside and listen with grace, and we hope you find yourself contributing to the conversation along the way.
