IMPACT DATA
Our program has been shown to increase students’ ability to process and share their experiences, improve their emotional intelligence and community-building skills, and increase their self-esteem.
Each student is navigating a wide set of life variables accompanied by the everyday experiences of living as an adolescent. The curriculum meets each participant exactly where they are at in their journey and walks alongside them at their own pace and comfort.
We use a combination of quantitative and qualitative data, including pre and post-course surveys, interviews, and student assessment observations made by local educators to measure impact.
The results of the pre and post-course surveys completed by the Extensive Program participants across all programs over the last two years show a significant impact on the students who participated in the program. This data represents youth across the United States and internationally and includes a wide set of life circumstances.
93%
of students reported an increased level of optimism about where they would be 5 years into the future.
94%
of students reported they were positively impacted in their belief that they can make a difference in their own lives and in their communities.
92%
of students reported they were positively impacted in their ability to express themselves and their feelings.
Providing an outlet to process experiences and express emotions through the medium of visual storytelling while fostering a connection to oneself and to others is critical. Through this new tool, youth are showing themselves that their voices and perspectives matter, and that they have the power to make a positive impact in their own lives and communities.
