THE ROUND TABLE EXPLORES

Together we discuss the idea of staying true to yourself in an evolving world of likes, engagement and social media validation. Where is the line between staying true to yourself and creating in the environment of social media? Is there a true healthy balance between sharing art online and not compromising your true creative vision?

I personally feel that when you sit down in front of the person, I think being transparent as much as possible is very important and being honest to yourself. You have to be able to not fear that you’re going to have rejection. If anything, be like this is who I am, this is what I’m about, and this is what I love to do. And if it doesn’t fit in the right or same box, then maybe I’m not the right fit. Your past and your life is what brought you to this point and to creating what you’re doing right now. This is experience in itself, and so I think that has a lot to do with your work in general.
