THE ROUND TABLE EXPLORES

Join us with guests, Elizabeth Schummer, Visual Artist and Cultural Promoter, and Romina Hendlin, Visual Artist and Educator. Together we discuss the language of photography, the importance of seeing from different perspectives, and trusting the creative process. Specifically as seen through the 100cameras programs they each led in Colombia and Venezuela (Part I, Part II). Conversation hosted by Angela Popplewell, CEO, and Lydia Billings, COO, of 100cameras.

“I was blown away by the curriculum of 100cameras. I've taught photography for many years, and it's just so beautiful to see how well integrated is photography and the written word - and thinking beyond the visual. Because it is the camera that allows you to start the conversation, but then every question that is made through the curriculum allows them to go further. So it was really nice to see them engage with their environment, to get to know other places around that through the program they were able to see,” reflects Hendlin.

Creative process - it’s everything. You have to always first imagine everything that you want to do in life. You are capable of doing everything, having a nurtured environment to do so - I know it’s very easy to say, but then you take your first pulse! But you cannot start thinking about the little step if you don’t have the whole picture.
