THE ROUND TABLE EXPLORES

Join us with guests Joanna Montgomery, founder of Little Riot, and Dan Rubin, Designer & 100cameras Board of Creatives member, as we explore the intersection of tech + design. Together we discuss creating new technology from scratch, the evolution of the smartphone, how storytelling is at the core of it all along with visions of how to make the world a more connected place. Conversation hosted by Angela Popplewell, CEO of 100cameras.

“We need our imaginations to drive us, and we have to hold fast to that vision. When everything is going wrong and everything feels difficult, you have to be completely convinced that you are going to achieve this. When you’re trying to hold fast your vision and achieve something, there will always be people that are telling you're crazy. And there are often more people telling you you're crazy than are saying. ‘Yeah, that's really cool - keep going!’ And it can make you doubt yourself at times,” reflects Montgomery.

You have to be able to imagine something that doesn’t quite exist yet. If you’re going to move things forward.
— Dan Rubin, Designer + Photographer

Storytelling has been the thing that carried us all the way through. It’s the bridge between something that’s not real and something that could be real.
— Joanna Montgomery, Founder, Little Riot
